Jusmawati Fauzaman is an assistant professor at the Department of Psychology, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). She read her PhD in IIUM, focusing on the identification of Malay personality factor structure.


Her main interest is in the field of personnel psychology, in the area of employee selection. She aims at developing psychological assessment tools for employee selection purposes. Her PhD work focuses on the construct conceptualization phase and later she aims to use the identified construct to develop an assessment tool. She is also interested in the issues of what can be the most cross-culturally generalizable structure of personality, hence, her involvement in the lexical effort of studying personality factor structure and its comparability to other structures.


Her other interest is in researching the area of personality as the correlates of performance. She had been involved in a number of consultancy work related to psychological assessment and scale development (e.g., MIROS, INSTUN). Holding a certificate in translation by the Malaysian Institute of Translations and Books, she offers services in translating psychological inventory for research purposes.
