Call for abstracts


The Department and the Behavioral Science Research Institute (BSRI) of Srinakharinwirot University, Thailand will be holding our annual International Postgraduate Research Colloquium (IPRC) in IIUM from October 3rd - 4th 2018 with the theme Future Psychology: Sustaining Mental Health and Well-Being in a Changing World.

The call for abstracts is now open (see poster for important dates and publishing opportunity). Abstracts for posters and oral, Ted Talk presentations are invited in areas relevant to evidence-based practice, policy, methodology, innovation, and advocacy in psychology. Good quality papers will be considered for publication in the Journal of Behavioral Science.

Abstract Submission Guidelines

  • The abstract should be written in English on one A4 page and contains name/s of the author/s, their institutional affiliation, current email address, and telephone. Corresponding author should be specified.

  • Abstracts should be between 150 and 250 words; all in a single paragraph using the "Times New Roman" font size 12pt and double-spaced throughout.

  • On the first line of the abstract page, center the word “Abstract” (no bold, formatting, italics, underlining, or quotation marks).

  • Beginning with the next line, write a concise summary of the key points of your research. (Do not indent.)

  • Your abstract should contain your research topic, research questions, participants, methods, results, data analysis, and conclusions. You may also include possible implications of your research and future work you see connected with your findings.

  • Please indicate at least one (max. five) keywords when submitting your abstract. To do this, indent as you would if you were starting a new paragraph, type Keywords: (italicised), and then list your keywords.

Submit the abstract to the Chair of the Scientific Committee at iprciium2018@gmail.com. Notification of abstract acceptance will be done after the submission deadline.

Important Dates:

  • Submission of abstracts opens: July 19th, 2018.

  • Deadline for submitting abstracts for oral and poster presentations: August 20th, 2018

  • Deadline for registration: September 15th, 2018

  • Deadline for submission of full papers: September 25th, 2018

Participation fees:

  • Academic Presenters and Participants: RM 300

  • Professional Presenters and Participants: RM300

  • Student Presenters: RM 150

  • Student Participants: RM 100

*The participation fees cover two-day meals and materials during the conference. It does not include accommodation and transportation.
