The Psychology Centre of Department of Psychology, IIUM has conducted a Job Analysis Workshop for Higher Education Management Professionals on August 8th, 2018. Organised by Management Services Division, this programme was attended by IIUM’s university managers and administrators. We believe that Higher Education Management Professionals form an essential part of a university ecosystem and are important for the delivery of its intellectual, social, and educational functions. They deal with complex work processes and manage serious activities - their absence would disrupt the institution’s effectiveness and efficiency. Indeed, they are the critical talent of any universities whose contributions ought to be duly recognised and appropriately acknowledged.
Furthermore, employees' understanding of their roles in an organisation tends to make them more motivated and happy in their job. Hence, it is important for an organisation to find strategies in retaining the experienced employees and high performers, whose contribution give a competitive edge to the organisation, over others. They are the talents that IIUM can't afford to lose.
