Shukran Abdul Rahman is associate professor at Department of Psychology, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). He is currently the Dean of Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences, and is also the Coordinator for Graduateness Research Unit, IIUM. Shukran has been serving as an Associate Research Fellow at the National Higher Education Research Institute (IPPTN), and a fellow at Institut Wasatiyah Malaysia. He was a Visiting Academic in the Department of Educational Psychology at Taibah University, Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah from 2008-2009.
He specialises in Occupational Psychology, and lectures in Personnel Psychology, Psychometrics, Organisational Change and Development, and Issues in Personnel and Organisational Psychology. His research areas include career development; organization development; organisational behaviour; employability and graduateness of student of higher learning institutions as well as changes and development in higher education. He has been researching in crowd behaviours among hujjaj since 2012.
Shukran is the author, and editor of journals, books, and book chapters in the areas of workforce development, career seeking, higher education development and change, and psychology education and development. He has also been invited to deliver lecture in these areas both at local and international levels.
